Overview
Many of you have been following the proposed Reefline project off South Beach. Surfrider Foundation has been closely engaged from the beginning to ensure Miami’s surf break and marine environment are protected.
History
After extensive review and advocacy, Surfrider reached an agreement with Reefline organizers to avoid construction impacts to South Beach surf. A follow-up study also projected negligible impact to wave height from the structures that are to be deployed soon.

The project is now slated for deployment. Surfrider Miami continues to monitor closely and remains in regular contact with organizers. We’ll keep our members updated as things progress.
