On Thursday, October 15, the Surfrider Miami team joined fellow ocean advocates at State of the Water 2026, hosted by Miami Waterkeeper at the Rusty Pelican on Key Biscayne. 🌊
The evening brought together community members and organizations who care about the health of South Florida’s waterways. It was a chance to connect, share ideas, and reaffirm the commitment to protecting the waters that shape life in Miami.
Clean water is a community effort. It takes scientists, advocates, volunteers, and neighbors all showing up for the same goal. Through our Blue Water Task Force program, Surfrider Miami tests water quality across Miami every week, and gatherings like this are a reminder of how many people share that mission.
