Surfrider Miami was proud to participate in World Ocean Celebration Week 2026, a community-wide series of events hosted by Blue Scholars Initiative and ARTSail that brought together organizations, advocates, artists, educators, and ocean lovers from across South Florida.
Throughout the week, Surfrider Miami participated in a variety of events focused on education, restoration, wellness, and community engagement. From dune restoration projects and ocean education activities to paddle-outs, live music, and yoga, each gathering offered a unique opportunity to connect with the coast and with one another.
The celebration highlighted the many ways people can take action for healthier coastlines and stronger marine ecosystems. Whether volunteering, learning, paddling out, or simply showing up in support, every participant played a role in making the week meaningful.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make World Ocean Celebration Week such a success. The passion, energy, and dedication of our community continue to inspire us and remind us that protecting our ocean is a collective effort.
