February 2026 - Florida Healthy Beaches Day

On February 9 and 10, Surfrider representatives were in Tallahassee, Florida for Florida Healthy Beaches Day, meeting with lawmakers and advocating for policies that protect our coastlines, ocean, and communities.

Throughout the two days, we brought the voice of our coast directly to decision makers. From clean water protections to responsible coastal management and access, these conversations are critical to ensuring Florida’s beaches remain healthy, accessible, and resilient for generations to come.

Advocacy is action. Showing up matters. Florida Healthy Beaches Day is a reminder that protecting the beach does not only happen on the sand. It also happens in legislative offices, committee meetings, and policy discussions where long term decisions are made.

We are proud to stand alongside fellow advocates who are committed to safeguarding the places we love. And we will continue pushing for policies that support clean water, strong coastal protections, and thriving beach communities across Florida.

Because healthy beaches start with strong voices, and we will keep showing up.
