Last week Surfrider CEO, Chad Nelson, came down to Miami to speak about coastal resiliency at the ComNet '17 conference. We got to catch up with him to advance the cause and go surfing. Well in advance of his visit, he reached out to our local chapter to offer his time and energy. We jumped on the offer and invited him to our monthly volunteer executive committee meeting to learn about our successes & challenges and to share the state of the Surfrider union & what's coming down the pipe in the next few years. Lucky for him, he arrived a 1/2 day early and joined chapter leaders Christi LeMahieu & Mike Gibaldi to catch a real nice slice of Maria groundswell up in the Palm Beaches.

Lastly, join us tomorrow October 10th for the first of our Fall Surfrider Movie Night Fundraiser. We are raising funds for both Puerto Rico humanitarian support and our upcoming water quality testing program called Blue Water Task Force.
