Village of Pinecrest Polystyrene Ordinance
On January 8th the Village of Pinecrest City Commission voted to approve an ordinance to prohibit the use and sale of polystyrene foam and foodware within Village limits.
Polystyrene foam foodware is a major source of litter and one of the top items we find on our regular beach cleanups. The Miami Chapter seeks to ban polystyrene foam foodware on in the Village of Pinecrest. Beginning April 1, 2019, polystyrene will be prohibited in the Village of Pinecrest, thanks to great activism and leadership by our Miami Chapter.
