| View in browser The amount of love we have for our ocean is hard to contain, but it helps to have YOU to share it with. Here are just some of the many reasons our supporters are friends of the ocean: “Because I appreciate and care about the ecosystem of this ocean, knowing its vital importance in the health of the planet.” Cristina “Because I’m a surfer, a marine biologist, I love the beach, and I just feel like we need to protect it for decades to come.” Evan   “The ocean needs us and we need the ocean.” Leigh   “I love the ocean. It’s where I get my pleasure. It’s where I get my exercise.” Alison We invite you to make an impact on our ocean, waves, and beaches! Become a Surfrider Miami Member, volunteer with us, or follow us on Facebook and Instagram to learn about other ways to get involved.  SHOW SOME LOVE As a volunteer-run nonprofit, your help is needed - and your love is powerful! We’re looking for activists to help us spread the love across Miami’s beaches. Are you the one? Likes organization, notetaking, and long walks on the beach. This person is responsible for keeping us on track and up-to-date.  Friends might describe them as a “matchmaker.” This is one of the most important volunteer positions because we rely on our members to make it all happen. Must love numbers. We're looking for a Treasurer! If the sight of microplastics breaks your heart, this could be the position for you! None of these sound like you?
