| View in browser We’re grateful for each and every one of our supporters for helping us further our mission in 2024.    As a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit, your support has been the tide lifting our mission of protecting our ocean, waves and beaches, for all people!  Blue Water Task Force (BWTF) Do you love the ocean and spending time in it as much as we do? Then consider joining our BWTF Team as a water collector volunteer to help us protect our ocean and ensure our beaches and the bay are #SafeToSwim. We are hoping to continue growing our team in Key Biscayne as well as around Biscayne Bay and Miami Beach.  EMAIL BWTF Beach Guru Co-Lead If your favorite place to be is the beach, then consider joining us as an Assistant Beach Guru. You will manage cleanups and dune restorations around North and Mid Beach as well as on the mainland to keep our beaches, ocean and bay clean. APPLY NOW Chapter Secretary If you’re an organizer, people person and do-er, consider becoming an integral part of our core team as our Secretary! You can help by taking meeting notes, sending emails, contributing to our website and social media pages, maintaining our Chapter Database and more.  GET IN TOUCH Rise Above Plastics (RAP) Lead We are all aware of the detrimental impact that single-use plastics have on our waterways, the marine environment and our community. If you want to become a more integral part of the solution, consider joining us as our RAP Lead, driving change toward a zero-waste lifestyle. EMAIL RAP Surfrider Miami Member  Do you prefer to donate and stay in the know rather than volunteering? A $5 donation qualifies you as a Surfrider Miami member. You can even gift a membership this holiday season!  BECOME A MEMBER 12/15 EcoFest 2024 Meet us at Normandy Foundation on December 15th from 4 - 7 PM ET for an exciting EcoFest with Clean Miami Beach and many of our other local ocean and planet warriors! We’ll raise awareness about ocean health, the dangers of plastic pollution and practical ways we can all make better environmental choices.  RSVP 12/19 End-of-the-Year Beach Cleanup with 1 Hotel Join us on December 19th at 4 PM at 23rd Street behind the 1 Hotel for a beach cleanup! We’ll be removing debris and plastics from our beautiful beach as well as testing the water quality.
