Give Miami Day is Thursday, November 19, and Surfrider Miami is taking part. This year, we’re raising funds for our Blue Water Task Force, the volunteer-powered program that tests the water at Miami’s beaches every week. Early giving opens Saturday, November 14. 🌊
What is Give Miami Day?
Give Miami Day is Miami’s annual day of collective giving, organized by The Miami Foundation. Local nonprofits come together for one day to invite the community to support the causes that make Miami home. You can donate to Surfrider Miami on the Give Miami Day page.
What your donation supports
Surfrider Miami is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit working to protect the ocean, waves, and beaches we all love. Through the Blue Water Task Force, our volunteers test water quality at 25 sites from Sunny Isles to South Beach to Bill Baggs. In 2025, volunteers collected 1,113 water samples across Miami.
Every Friday, we publish up-to-date results at bwtf.surfrider.org so families, swimmers, and surfers can make informed choices before the weekend. That data also helps us advocate for stronger water quality policies across Miami-Dade County.
How your gift helps
Every gift moves us closer to our goal of funding 1,000 water quality tests.
